The Blooming Crush

Like a summer flower on a winter morning

The dew settles on your subtle skin.

Amidst the mist, you choose to bloom

Setting you apart from your own kin.

Your beauty is appalling to many,

Your personality, godlike.

As you sway in the open atmosphere,

It is no wonder there are none alike.

You may have come from simple roots

The soil of the earth that we sprout from.

Yet you stand out like no other flower

The ones around you, you affirm.

The grace you carry is unparalleled,

The compassion and integrity, divine.

Up high and mighty on your stem

Yet you would never cross a line.

The wind around you sounds like music.

The ground you touch feels like gold.

A beauty of such power is not mortal.

Around you, even time wouldn't grow old.

So here I stand

In the middle of the field.

I look at you flutter around playfully

Like a summer flower on a winter morning.
